Dawson Community College was already gearing up to oppose potential state funding cuts to our operating budget. On top of this already ill-conceived plan, Representative Don W. Jones (R) HD46, of Billings, is preparing to propose a bill or a series of bills to further reduce or eliminate State funding to Dawson Community College. 

With the current reductions applied, DCC was looking at a shortfall of over $250,000 annually. Representative Jones' proposal for further reduction or to eliminate funding would end key aspects of instruction, academic support, student services, institutional support, etc. The immense financial burden would fall upon students and taxpayers.
