¡Mondelēz, don't sugarcoat animal cruelty!

¡Mondelēz, don't sugarcoat animal cruelty!
La causa
Mondelēz International presents itself as a world leader in snacks, with iconic brands such as Oreo, Ritz, Toblerone and Trident. It states that it produces responsibly and sustainably; However, when it comes to fulfilling their cage-free commitment, transparency does not seem to be a priority.
In 2016, following pressure from consumers and international organizations concerned about animal welfare, Mondelēz announced that it would eliminate caged eggs from its supply chain by the end of 2025 (with some exceptions until 2030). At first glance, this seemed like a significant advance. However, according to his latest ESG report, the company reports 66% global progress, but it has decided to postpone its commitment until 2027 without offering any justification or dialogue with the organizations involved. Worse still, Mondelēz still does not report data broken down by region.
In other words, there is no clear information about how much progress has been made in Latin America or other parts of the world, or even if it has advanced. This level of opacity is unacceptable for a company that claims to lead responsibly. Mondelēz makes promises, but hides key information. If you are really proud of your progress, why not make it public?
Meanwhile, millions of hens remain caged, confined to a space smaller than a sheet of paper, without the ability to spread their wings or move freely. Companies such as Nestlé and Grupo Bimbo already report progress by region. Why does Mondelēz not follow their example? It's time to demand that Mondelēz immediately publish the percentage of progress on its cage-free commitment by region, and that it presents a detailed plan, with specific dates and measures, to fulfill its original promise before the end of the established period. If Mondelēz really wants to be a responsible company, it must demonstrate it with actions and not with empty promises.
Sign this petition and demand that Mondelēz stop hiding information and assume its commitment to animals. Enough of excuses. It's time to act.
