Mojang aims to kill off pay to win servers or so they say and this would be fine but the actual changes would effectivily kill off donations and well servers everywhere.

As this link shows mojang says only cosmetic, subcription, and pure donations are legal.

All 3 are flawed.

Why cosmetic? Between sites like PMC and skindex how are servers to compete on any real scale.

Subscription? How many servers would this actually work for besides a select few people are willing to pay to be on like MinePlex most servers would not make it far with this tactic.

Pure donations? Most players are young 12 for example and have little cash and so most players are not going to donate out of the kindness of their hearts.

Finally most servers will close without funding and this will take it away because the only option they gave us would only truely work for large servers and worst yet make multiplayer spotty and hard to understand and hard to find somewhere to play.

Not only could this kill upwards to as much as 70% of all servers but it could make MineCraft as a whole less fun.

Notch and Mojang point is if it isn't broken don't fix it.

We all know Minecraft is profitable and server's find funding and the choice is entirely on the player if a player doesn't like it there is 1000's of other servers realms or they can make their own or just go play their own game.
Point is they have options no one is forced no one was violated there wasn't a real problem to begin with.

Yes some servers do scam so go after those servers not all of us.
