Its been two years, and ...... another Fatal Accident at HWY W & SB HWY 61

I can't help but think about why this petition was started. A mother and her two daughters lost their lives, two years ago. Since then, there has been a handful of deaths after that. I can only think that they are the few angels watching above when I travel this stretch of highway multiple times of the day, wondering when it will be my turn. They have finally started the construction with intersection improvements at Peine Road with a new overpass. Two Years. Yesterday on the way to my sister-in-law's house, my husband and I had to turn around after we realized we had forgot something. After turning around, and heading back to Troy - we saw an accident at HWY W & US-61 intersection. This is the intersection of death, let met tell you. To this day, there are multiple semis that cut from Foristell to this spot either by GPS re-routing for a "shorter distance" or because the driver thinks its quicker until they hit that "oh shit" intersection. If you are flying up Highway 61 North at Hwy W, please get in the slow lane - there are people crossing the highway that have to enter into the fast lane if you like if or not! Be alert to what is happening ahead. If you drive 61, you have to accept the fact that you will not be able to go 80+ weaving in and out of traffic. Apparently the barriers are "on their way" - but PLEASE, can we shut down the crossover intersections until then? Do your part as a traveler and exit at Crossroads Blvd to come back down, or vice versa at Wentzville Blvd. Your life may depend on it!
