Dear Supporters,

I am sincerely grateful to everyone who has signed my petition, which I launched while my daughter and I were still living in what had become an unbearably toxic household with my former partner.

In December 2024, we were blessed to meet an incredible and generous family who welcomed us into their home. This gave us the breathing space we desperately needed to begin resolving financial matters with my former partner.

Unfortunately, progress has been painfully slow. The last 12 months has only achieved a couple of exchanged solicitors’ letters and a long overdue mediation meeting in November with a deeply disappointing outcome (I am not allowed to enclose details, but the offer is substantially less than the original one).

This means that I will have no choice but to embark on a long and costly legal journey. To make this possible, I have set up a GoFundMe page, and any support would mean the world to us.

Petition Progress
I have requested a meeting with my local MP where I will be showcasing my own situation to discuss the urgent need for reform of cohabitation laws, and my daughter has asked to attend alongside me. If you are able, please help us by sharing the petition link so we can gather as many signatures as possible.
