To the Governor of the Great State of Minnesota:

Please accept these signatures as our voice in asking for your help.  Help us continue our mission at Eagle’s Healing Nest (310 US HWY 71 N Sauk Centre, MN 56378), in supporting our veterans, military members and families.  We would like to extend an invitation to you to come see what we have created to help our veterans, military members and families heal from the many issues they have from serving their country.  It is the first of its kind across this nation.

We have leaky roofs.  We are also asking for your help in allowing us to continue our mission.  We understand that there is the “norm” way of doing things, although we are not the “norm” in what we have created so far is providing home to 70 veterans, military members and families.  The Nest is also networked many providers to assist the veterans with clinical, peer to peer and most of all lots of love!  We testified and thanks to you and others there was $300,000 allocated for us to repair our roofs.  Unfortunately, we have not been able to access it due to red tape and the normal slow, cumbersome way of government contracts and grants.  We believe that you can and will help us, as WE KNOW veterans, military members and their families are one of your top priorities.

We also ask that in the last session there were funds allocated to help us pay our property taxes in the Tax Bill.  With no special session in sight that will leave our veterans out in the cold since we have to raise that $50,000 as well as provide for their needs.

We need your help.  We have defended you and our country, now please come defend us.
