Mohini Thakare, the President of Pestom Sagar Citizens' Forum and an active Social Reformer has signed the petition giving the protest a much needed support. She has a clear view that as the site of the Metro station is next to Pestom Sagar, it should be named 'Pestom Sagar' station without any hesitation.

She's been an active supporter of several causes like Land Conversion of societies land from Class 2 to Class 1, dilapidated buildings redevelopment issues, local area cleanliness initiatives and several such social activities. Her firm, inclusive and balanced approach has helped solve many issues in and around Pestom Sagar and has active support in adjoining localities like Tilak Nagar and Chheda Nagar as well.
