After coming on 4yrs come ash Wednesday on the ground things are progressing. A homless shelter for 10 male.10 female souls has opened doors thks to a newly elect state rep fm our area, Joseph Sanchez whom is now running for Congress, wishing  him luck n prayers. But w my assessments this is only about 5 to 10 percent of homless population as weather warms up more will come, especially kids n teens w no parents . The closed El rito CAMPUS is now in the works of opening  doors for a couple of trades, votes for a levy to fund has passed. With a struggling understaffed under trained ( dealing w homless mentally Ill and veterans) underpaid city police dept in a sanctuary city tensions running deep and mistakes will continue unless more well trained well  paid ethical cops are hired or CULPRITS fired , but it is now out in the open. Citizens are speaking out, faith groups are assembling but still our streets riddled with crime death and drugs. Governor Mitchell lujan grishom in her post over an year and still no call nor contact with me as promised. No county nor city nor district political officials aside fm sanchez has approached me. City council,  county , state , politicians avoid me at all cost , and my team is still very small but we have become a force to be reckoned with. The feedings with blessing and motivation has turned into a sucess with more donors of the day for meals with a white flag at business as a sign when donors have pledged  goes up thus a sign for anyone on streets wishing a bowl of soul food , and anyone wishing to come motivate n pray with them. Rape, beatings infections , much mental illness. mal nutrition,  addicts comming in and we motivate them to allow us to call and  guide them toward EMS and not stigmatize them and push them out of the local hospital. The local rehab is talking about  expanding its services so we shall see, when it is active then I bv will bv believe. More feeding locations are popping up and we as well will continue to push in different parts  of the city to spread the love. As a disabled vet and fireman emt on ambulance and crews I have seen much in my times, many bodies much sickness n illness w death, but with this effort it is different "this is PERSONAL" I WILL NOT SIT IDLE AND WATCH OUR CULTURE N YOUTH  DIE AND BE PUT IN HARMS WAY DUE TO NEGLECT CORRUPTION AND LACK OF COMPASSION WITH MUCH STIGMA. I suggest other areas take a stand as citizens , the leaders and gov is not doing their jobs ETHICALLY nor equally so it will be up to us, the people for the people to take that stand and heal from within and not  for healing to come from outside agencies being paid to do their jobs.  Our efforts are volunteer and at our costs , no longer just my own wife and me footing the cost , now others are joining efforts.  And I am still.Alive and even stronger in faith n COURAGE.  As I have to be for I already have had to pray over young dead bodies, most of whom I have become a friend and they REQUEST me to be there in the event of passing or in hosp to guide them toward the new life w CHRIST.  Yesterday I did one for a young beautiful man and assisted another elder female on her journey , and with my wife's birthday it was a blessed day.  We are on our way toward better tomarrows , together hopefully united not divided as is our leadership. No more smoke screens and talk,  we need action....Amen. N thks for support .
