There is something that can never be taken away, ",a good education". As some continue to get educated with higher education, which comes at a steep price n commitment, many others can only dream of such a big accomplishment. Even a GED is a great achievement. I myself know 4 good friends and people with PhD's. Sad thing is a couple can't find employment , now this is sad. But for the less fortunate, the indigent coming up through our failing schools, they have not much, if any of getting a higher degree, much less a certificate from a trade, with no tradeschool within 100 or more miles. Now thats not a shame, due to the fact that a functioning facility not 30 miles away is closed , an eye sore, not a shame but a disgraceful and in my opinion  a criminal act to our people. Now northern new mexico college regents, must clearly have other priorities and hidden agendas. I myself , am proud to say I am educated, in dominant cultural education, in several areas, that came at a high price n commitment. Thing is, much of the best education I have received did not come from a university or  college , but from life itself. My ansestoral education , my spritual education, my moralistic education, my education from poverty, struggle addiction and suffering. This is why I push for those with  hard core education to be asked and paid to assist in this dilemma and sickness of substance abuse.together with a licensed soul  The addict will listen and respect those who have lived the life and have found their own path to healing, for they have slept with this monster called addiction,  consider hiring these souls who can't find employment and want to help. Give these x-fellons a chance .
