The time is here for picking fresh herbs / Remedios in northern New Mexico . Our ansestors always made this journey up into the northern hills , and some still . While the men cut and harvest the firewood , the women and their children collect the herbs for medicine and cooking . Stocking up for the winter months ahead. This is a natural source of healing that should be utilized , promoted and passed on throughout all the school districts . Creating herbal farming in vacated and ignored lands that were once used by our people to create and stimulate our economy. Farming and harvesting natural forest products is a big part of our heritage that needs focus and attention. Land grant sharing of genealogy research for inheritance will stimulate growth in the souls of our youth who are the present and future. Work farms for our incarcerated brothers and sisters as a crop sharing tool for their loved ones to go help re-establish a connection to each other (family and working together) in a grounding and positive way. Getting them out into the natural environment and away from the depressing routine in the cell promoting work ethic and educating them on agricultural self sustenance . The earth and waters will help us heal!
