I am a 9 and a half year old girl that really cares about our national parks. Due to the Government Shutdown, few people are working there. This is a problem because people are doing whatever they want. Whatever they want as in disrespecting it, like cutting down trees. I am lucky enough to have visited several National Parks and in my opinion I think that they are very beautiful. They are also very important because they are safe habitats that protect multiple species of animals and plants. Many of these parks are also original sacred grounds to Native American tribes. These are a couple of reasons why I think we should protect them and treat them with respect.
