Because of the four lane to two lane merge, awkward only lanes, and a hill it is easy to have a collision if motorists make last-second decisions to leave only lanes or speed over the hill. Several accidents have already occurred at this intersection already, including to me and my friends on June 9, 2014. How many more have to occur before there is a fatality?

I am calling for the addition of a traffic signal to increase the safety of those coming off of Macedonia and Sunrise Road on to Highway 42, as well as the safety of those coming from over the hill that may collide with oncoming traffic.
