Urge AG Hood to stand up for the civil rights of ALL Mississippians

Attorney General Hood released the statement below about a lawsuit he is currently defending. Note these quotes from him: “I can't pick my clients, but I can speak for myself as a named defendant in this lawsuit." " I will have to think long and hard about spending taxpayer money to appeal the case against me" "the state is throwing mentally ill patients out on the street. This is hardly protecting the least among us as Jesus directed.” Urge AG Hood to - 1) Speak for himself and to do the right thing for our children. 2) Stop wasting our tax dollars fighting allegations against the State that our children do not have the services and supports mandated under federal law. Those allegations are TRUE. 3) Protect our children in the same manner he perceives Jesus would . 4) Make public the independent assessment as a first step to show good faith in working with families of children with mental health challenges to make things better for ALL of Mississippi's children.
