It’s not fair that soldiers are more likely to get discharged or demoted if they seek mental health. I strongly believe that this significantly relates to the increase of domestic violence and divorce in the military. I mean everyone needs to understand that us spouses move about every 3 years!!! We have to try to create new friends, get a job, find community support system and just simply our identity every move. Not only that, but it takes about a year with each move to feel like a “home”. Then as soon as you get a good routine you can handle, learn the base and outside community, establish medical care, etc…boom you’ve got orders to do it all over again!
