Kinston NC has not had it's own Baseball team in historic Grainger Stadium in Kinston NC for almost 5 years. Recently a Texas based team called the Texas Rangers announced they would be coming to Kinston NC to call Grainger Stadium home but all the names that can be voted on begin with "Down East" which doesn't relate to Kinston in anyway and we as a community would like to choose a more proper team name that relates to the heritage of Grainger Stadium and Kinston NC.
