I’ve emailed and tweeted every politician, media outlet etc. I can think of about this policy. I’ve mostly been met with silence or “that’s the policy”. This is a policy that should not exist. It takes money from people like me who need it the most. In my case, four years of retroactive came to $32,000. The Ministry got $25,000 of it. The rest went to lawyer fees etc. If I knew this was going to be the outcome, I never would have appealed the first CPP denial. And I know many are in the same boat.
