Another example of how irresponsible media houses are today

Two Kannada news channels misrepresented an initiative by the Central food technological research institute (CFTRI). CFTRI has supplied spirulina based protein rich food products which provide sufficient amount of nutrition for the covid-19 patients. Public TV and News18 Kannada, in a bid to spice up things and gain TRP, portrayed this food supplement as a cure. They claimed that the success story of the Mysuru district in fighting covid-19 is due to this food products. CFTRI had to come up with a statement to counter this claim.
