We simply filed the representation, which now having around 1983, to conduct an empirical study on the misuse of 498-A, as Law Commission, in its 243 report, too, unable to amend the 498-A law,due to unavailability of the empirical study of the misuse of law. Now we are requesting to conduct a study, the Ministry on one side says that Judicial wing only deals with the legislation of the laws, and on the other side its says law commission is carrying out the comprehensive review of criminal laws. The question is if they are reviewing of criminal laws why they have not amended it, due to unavailability of empirical study. Hence the reply of the Ministry is vague and needs to be appealed against the order
