Hi all! Thank you for signing please see the following email below regarding the funding of $5000.00. If you've been affected or know someone who has they should apply for this!
We’re reaching out to you directly as you’ve recently enquired about the one-off $5,000 grant for self-employed individuals.
We’re happy to announce the new one-off grant of $5,000 will open for applications from2pm Monday 28 February.
We know this has been a difficult time for many in the arts and culture sector and we want to thank you for your patience. The team have worked as quickly as possible to get this grant up and running.
Grant for Self-Employed Individuals
The one-off grant is available to self-employed people whose main employment activity over the last 12 months is in the arts, culture and heritage sector and whose income has been directly affected by a move to ‘Red’ under the COVID-19 Protection Framework on 23 January 2022.
The Grant helps support individuals who are involved in creating, presenting, protecting or distributing arts, culture or heritage in any medium. Artists, technicians, administrators and other self-employed individuals that contribute to the arts, culture or heritage communities will be supported through this Grant.
This grant will remain open for applications until either the country moves out of the ‘Red’ setting or the available funding has been fully allocated.
Applications will open from 2pm Monday 28 February via the Manatū Taonga Online Portal.
Cultural Sector Emergency Relief Fund – Organisations
Organisations, including Sole Traders with employees, are not eligible for the Grant. Organisations can apply for support through the Cultural Sector Emergency Relief Fund – Organisations, which is a fund of last resort to support cultural organisations, including sole traders with employees, who are at clear risk of no longer operating viably. Organisations can receive up to $300,000 through this fund.
