Dear friends and colleagues, I would like to thank you all for your support. The amount, the intensity and the motivations of your solidarity have touched me deeply. The spontaneity of your adherence to the petition has turned my personal affair into an emblematic issue. This could also be of great help to many colleagues, foreigners or not, who wanted to accept the challenge of running an Italian museum with optimism and confidence despite the great difficulties - and dangers - that this entails. I believe that the extraordinary expression of esteem and appreciation towards my person, but above all towards a great institution such as the Galleria Borghese, has contributed to convincing the Ministry that it would have been better to postpone this Kafkian situation and wait for the decision of a judge. I am glad to inform you that thanks to your help I am continuing to direct the Galleria Borghese in the fullness of my duties.
