Just a short update - we are still fundraising for our report, we are doing extremely well so far and have raised close to €600. All funds raised are for the production of the report, including publication. Uplift are hosting the fundraising for this on our behalf.
We have had a very significant number of people complete the survey, the results are groundbreaking, but we have more work to do, we need a well produced, authoritative, report which will not only do justice to the people who put their trust in us to make things better but which will also make politicians and the general public sit up and take notice.
We are an unfunded group,so unfortunately we can’t publish this report without raising funds, much as we might wish it otherwise.
There is no other way to do this properly.
Throughout our campaign the one point we have consistently made is that all Adoptees need to be heard, regardless of what home, what agency, or where we were placed or came from, we are all adoptees.
Adoption impacts on all of us, so as such every Adoptee deserves a chance to give their opinion and view and not have it decided for us.
We need balanced legislation that will only come from a balanced and informed view of what the situation actually is, how adoption impacts on Adoptees, what Adoptees want, not what others - who are not adoptees - think is best for us.

Every contribution helps and if we all could give even €5 towards it, we’d be well on our way to getting this done.
We are trying to give voice to those that have not been heard before, something that will ultimately benefit all of us.
