As most of you would know, the Federal Election is coming up on July the 2nd. Politics is becoming increasingly questionable and leaves many people wondering where our country is headed. One topic that is becoming more and more important is the freedom of choice in medical care and treatment of all types (such as natural & western). This basic right is being restricted more and more with various different legislations and reports. There is one party that seems to stand out from the rest with regards to medical choice, the Health Australia Party. They are firm believers in building a health-creation system, not a disease-management system and informed consent is absolutely essential. As they are a relatively new party, they don't have the funding and resources of the main parties. If this is something that you'd like to support, one of the best was is to help with handing out how-to-vote cards on election day. Smaller parties receive 3-4 more times the number of votes when how-to-vote cards are distributed. Two Senate candidates are running in VIC, NSW, QLD and WA. If you are in any of these states and can help, contact your local HAP branch on the following email addresses. VICbranch@healthaustraliaparty.com.au NSWbranch@healthaustraliaparty.com.au QLDbranch@healthaustraliaparty.com.au WAbranch@healthaustraliaparty.com.au Running an election campaign also costs a substantial amount of money. According to their Facebook page, "The Health Australia Party does not accept money from lobbyist groups and vested interests, and relies upon membership fees, donations and the good-will of its people to spread the message." If you are able to donate any money at all, it would go a long way to making a difference. http://gofundme.com/26wpehek
