Not even 24hrs in and we are humbled by the support so far, thank you!

The WA Government allowing large scale commercial take of shark, with the express purpose of reducing the shark population for the benefit of recreational fishermen, is an ill-conceived and underhanded way of masking what this is: a cull. 

We are hearing positive rumblings, that there could be a Government backtrack on the support for this proposal (thanks to you!), but don't take your foot off the gas. Let's keep applying pressure until there is an official announcement that this is off the table.

We applaud the Government's research into better ways to manage the issue of depredation and we look forward to a plan being announced that doesn't involve intentionally reducing the population of an important species, for simply doing what it is programmed to do, by 400 million years of evolution.
