Hi everyone! Thank you from near and far for your support!
2 THINGS.
I am working on the paper, hard copy petition that will urge the Alberta Government to reassess, update, and complete written protocols for all species listed within Schedule A, so Temporary Shelter Permits may be issued to assist orphaned and injured animals, and allow for rehabilitation and release back into the wild. (The animals listed that The Alberta Government does not approve rehabilitation; therefore, killing them, is: Bighorn Sheep, Mountain Goats, Wolf, Coyote, Black Bear, Grizzly Bear, Cougar). I have contacted my MLA (NDP) on this matter. I have also sent an e-mail to The Premier Of Alberta: Rachel Notley. If they ignore my request I will go to the next closet MLA
( Liberal) and see if he is willing to assist with delivering a petition to The Legislature. Unfortunately, The Alberta Government does not find E-Petions "in order" ****HOWEVER**** Without the signatures of everyone across the globe - this petition would not have received media attention. You are fabulous!! The Alberta Government should pay attention - that this issue has been recognized globally - perhaps Canada is not as gentle and wonderful as the world is lead to believe. We do shoot orphaned bears. We have allowed people to hunt bears for sport and trophy, only to leave babies behind that are killed while no one watches.....
I URGE ANYONE WHO IS AN ALBERTA RESIDENT to contact me!!! We need your signatures on this petition! If you have a small business or know someone with a small business and they would be willing to have this petition at their front desk....please contact me. If you just want to sign it, or have a few friends who want to sign - contact me! I plan on delivering this petition in March 2018. The more the better!! (See attached the rules for a petition considered acceptable for The Legistlature).

#2!
This tragedy has led me to learn about The Cochrane Ecological Institute. They have been helping wild Animals of Alberta since they were founded in 1967. They were successfully rehabilitating orphaned Bear Cubs since 1985. They have been denied the opportunity to truly help this bear to their full capacity. I have attached some info for their annual Christmas Tree event. For anyone who is within Alberta - I encourage you to attend. I plan on attending both days. I would love to meet you and hand out copies of the petition for you to take and share. This event would be a win-win situation for everyone. I hope to see you there.
The Dates are December 9 and 10 from 10 AM to 4 PM.
E-mail me if you are interested. :)
I am forever grateful.
