Dear CIAO Rights supporters,
No News is Good News, as they say. The French Minister of Justice, Éric Dupond-Moretti, has so far not indicated that he is not going to do anything about CIAO Marriage in France. Silence is golden and we can be assured that Minister Eric Dupond-Morettis is bound to be thinking very hard about what to do next. He may be a bit worried at the moment about what the leader has been saying about sending Frenchmen to take part in the madness to the east. I don't see much point in prolonging things or trying to postpone the inevitable, or throwing more oil on the fire, and neither does he, probably.
The Minister must get thousands of petitions from around the world every day, and our petition is bound to be the next one he will give his full attention to.
Well, there is much to be done. CIAO people in France who wish to marry, might as well do it anyway, if they haven't already. But the principle of 'equality for all' means that the present marriage laws in France must be changed and we must stand up and fight on principle.
In the meantime, please stay well-informed and keep safe.
Today I noticed that the Italian petition has not been signed by many people yet.
