Quick update on the progress of our campaign
Dear Friends
Thanks so much for stepping up to support our campaign to fight the hunger pandemic that is sweeping across our country. We are at 750 signatures now.
The petition is only one step towards a campaign of mass action to ensure that our demands are met, but we still need your help to get over the 1000 mark.
Please share this link -- https://www.change.org/fishforall -- to your online contacts to raise support for the petition.
We cannot allow anyone in this country to perish needlessly of hunger while there are vast amounts of fish stocks in cold storage and while foreign and local companies catch and export thousands of tonnes of fish from Namibian waters every week.
That fish belongs to the Namibian people and we should get our fair share. We will keep you updated on further planned actions as we ramp up the pressure to compel the authorities to urgently provide fish to the community.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
Yours in solidarity,
Jade McClune
