Email with our petition has been sent to day to the Minister of Canadian Heritage: Your Honour, Dear Minister, last week I initiated and launched a petition to stop selling nationwide asset, painting of March Chagall "La Tour de Eiffel" from the collection of the National Gallery of Art (Ottawa). By now (end of Wednesday, April 11) we gathered 269 signatures without any donations and professional efforts. There is a lot of articles, discussions and speculations about this case, that's why I won't put down here any specifics. All we are asking about is to stop auctioning a priceless piece of art belonging to Canada and disclose what NGA would like to purchase and open a public discussion how to help NGA to get what they want without deaccessioning Marc Chagall's work. https://www.change.org/p/minister-of-canadian-heritage-do-not-sell-marc-chagall-s-eiffel-tower-1929-from-the-national-gallery-of-canada Dear Minister and Team, Please do not hesitate to contact me if there are any questions. Please update me and my supporters on your decision as soon as possible. Hopefully Marc Chagall's "La Tour de Eiffel" will return home (NGA, Ottawa) from its Hong Kong tour and will not end up at Christie's on May 15. Sincerely, Natasha Abramova
