I had a good long look at how animals are treated at slaughter houses around Australia (unfortunately there is hours of footage on the net). Most people, including me are shocked to see how poorly animals are treated at a substantial number of slaughterhouses. Many animals are really, really frightened and suffer a lot, it's shattering to watch and that's why I have to start this petition.

A solution to this is the introduction of CCTV in all slaughterhouses and a review of animal welfare standards & policies. Most farmers generally care about their animals and often they care very much. It is so sad to see how badly many are treated once they leave the farm, it's our responsibility to initiate change...we owe it to those thousands of animals that are here for such a short, crappy time.
