We hope everyone enjoyed a healthy and happy August long weekend with their friends and family! Recently we posted our great news that we are meeting with federal health Minister Jane Philpott and finally have the opportunity to personally deliver all of YOUR Lyme Letters to her. We have an important update: the meeting date has been moved up to August 22nd, just under 2 weeks from today, in Ottawa. Therefore, we need any new Lyme Letters in by AUGUST 15TH. We are encouraging all those who have not yet sent a Lyme Letter in us to do so in time for us to deliver it to Minister Philpott. Your Lyme Letter can be short or long. If you or someone you know has been affected by Lyme in Canada, please consider sharing your experience and frustrations at the lack of care and understanding within the medical profession. If you don’t have Lyme but you are concerned about it, please write a letter about your concerns. Please include your name and address including postal code, and let us know if we have your consent to retain a copy of your letter and share it down the road with media and/or more politicians as we continue our fight for improved education and access to care in Canada.
