Today is a historic day for marriage equality in the UK: Same-sex couples in civil partnerships are now able to convert these into marriages, if they so choose. We campaigned vigorously for equal marriage, and wish those couples now entering into one many congratulations! But the effort to guarantee strict equality of treatment between same- and opposite-sex couples is not over.
