Second, while we’ve been on leave, a lot has been happening to make civil partnerships a reality. The next reading of Tim Loughton’s Private Members Bill to extend civil partnerships to mixed-sex couples is fast approaching. The debate is set for Friday 2nd February 2018. Having been the top Conservative MP in the Private Members Ballot, Loughton’s Bill has a good chance of becoming law. But only if the Government supports it. This is where you come in. Please write to your MP NOW urging them to attend on 2nd February to formally support the bill.
