We went to tell our constituency MP Andy Slaughter about our campaign to open civil partnerships to all, and he has supported us enthusiastically ever since. Please ensure that your MP votes the right way too! On 28th April we are organising a nationwide lobby of MPs. Please be a part of it. All you have to do is go to your MP’s constituency surgery or pre-arrange a meeting with them for that day. Tell them why opening civil partnerships to all matters to you. Explain to them why doing so would also be fair, popular, and good for families. Ask your MP to support you and the Campaign for Equal Civil Partnerships. Ask them to write to the government to ask for the extension of civil partnerships to all, to speak in Parliament on your behalf, and to consider proposing a Private Member’s Bill.
