Reopen Letterkenny University Hospital's Short Stay Ward

Letterkenny University Hospital continues to experience some of the highest levels of hospital overcrowding seen anywhere in the state. Last year, an average of 19 patients languished on trolleys at the hospital’s Emergency Department every single day throughout 2017.
As a result, there are daily scenes of chaos with staff at the hospital struggling to cope while patients line its wards on trolleys. And while this crisis escalates, the Government has failed to act.
Despite repeated calls from Sinn Féin for the hospital’s 19 bed Short Stay Ward to reopen, it remains closed. That’s 19 beds which could help to alleviate this crisis instead lying empty.
Enough is enough. Sinn Féin is now launching its own campaign to have these beds re-opened but we need your help.
Sign our petition today and you’ll be sending a clear message to Government that the people of Donegal demand action NOW.
Together, we can help end the trolley crisis at Letterkenny University Hospital.
Go Raibh Maith Agaibh.
