"The Prevention of cruelty To Animals Act" in this state has a section that allows the Minister to endorse other animal welfare groups to be  "general inspectors" (section 18) which in essence means that this Minister can, with the stroke of a pen, allow persons qualified to investigate animal cruelty complaints with the same powers as RSPCA/DEPJWI/Police . What a boom it would be to have extra qualified officers to assist these other "privileged" charitable and government organisations that are always "crying" out "we have no recourses blah blah" well now Minister is your chance to prove to the community that you are fair dinkum about animal welfare .Please sign this petition and wake this state government up into moving forward to help combat animal cruelty NOW .. We need 2000 signatures ....No one has a monopoly on animal welfare..it belongs to all.....
