We’ve just learned that another 7 acre urban park (and more tree destruction) is planned within a few miles of the Mims Forest. The town is accepting input and there is a virtual public meeting on April 15 2026. The location will be the corner of Avent Ferry and Rex Rd (Holly Springs). 

This is an even greater reason to preserve Mims property as a preserve. We support maintaining the forest as it is, with the primitive trails and natural springs intact.
