BBC News - Living in the shadow of a 'huge, horrible' warehouse
The BBC have today published a lengthy news story about our battle with the Blakelands warehouse - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-54442314
The article is an excellent piece of journalism looking at our many unanswered questions surrounding the approval of the warehouse and the sequence of events that followed.
The article also raises a number of new issues which we were previously were unaware of and they are very concerning. Sources inside Milton Keynes Council have told the BBC that the case officer responsible for the warehouse application wanted to recommend refusal to the Council's Development Control Committee. Why did this not happen? Was she pressured into making a recommendation against her professional judgement?
We believe all of the issues raised in the BBC's article should now be investigated by external auditors. Please keep supporting our petition by sharing it to as many people as possible!
Thank you
