Petition update

Time is Running Out for Marcellus – RSVP Now!

Missourians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty

Aug 20, 2017 — In a little less than three days, Marcellus Williams will be on the execution table – unless we act now to stop it.

You’ve signed the petition. You’ve shared on social media. You’ve gotten frustrated / angry / upset / sad at the situation. Now we’re asking you to get up, to get out, to #RallyForMarcellus: http://bit.ly/2vR9Cmk

Nimrod “Rod” Chapel is a trial lawyer by day, activist by night, weekends, and every second in between. He is the President of the Missouri Conference of the NAACP, and he is fighting for Marcellus. Rod probably doesn’t have time to attend the #RallyForMarcellus this Tuesday – let alone to speak at it. But he is.

Will you? http://bit.ly/2vR9Cmk

We get it – it’s a Tuesday, it’s the day after the eclipse, it’s right after work; but we’re showing up anyway, and we’re asking you to show up too. Because if we don’t, there won’t be any “after” for Marcellus.

If you can’t show up in St. Louis, you can #RallyForMarcellus in:

Jefferson City: Rally in front of Governor Greitens' office (12 PM at 201 W Capitol Ave)
Columbia: Vigil in front of the Boone County Courthouse (4:30 PM 705 E Walnut St)
Bonne Terre: Vigil at prison - carpool details on Facebook event page - 5 (2727 Hwy K)
Kansas City: Vigil (5 PM at 39th and Troost)
Springfield: Rally at Park Central Square (12 PM )

We hope you can join us in taking action. If not, please help get the word out to those who can – on Twitter: http://bit.ly/2x0IAZI, and on Facebook: http://bit.ly/2uRj6AD.
