Since the Highway 84 bypass in Opp opened in 2006 there has been over 40 car accidents with many of these accidents resulting in fatalities because of the inability to see oncoming traffic going westbound. My goal is to have a caution light or even a red light put at the intersection of Highway 84 and Horn Hill Road. I have witnessed several accidents myself, as I am a former resident of Horn Hill Road. On Friday October 28th, both of my grandparents were killed in a horrible accident at that very intersection. The State of Alabama must protect its residents and prevent more lives being lost as a result of the state's failure to act.
