Students For Education Reform

19 Jan 2017
Thank you so much for your support, but the fight is far from over! We have to be the voice that keeps our issues relevant.
Two supporters of this issue attended the Jan. 17th school board meeting and shared with the school board how the parents and children felt about the incident, and read some letters written by the parties involved. We also discussed how the community as a whole feels that transportation and a lack of communication towards parents of children in ISD709 needs to be addressed by the school board. So we are asking you to call and/or email an elected school board official and ask them to put transportation and communication on the agenda. Parents are far too often the last to know how well or poorly their child is performing academically. Regardless the level of engagement exemplified by the legal guardian. If we are going to be a village that supplies our most vulnerable youth with their basic needs to succeed then we are going to have to do it collectively. Thanks again for supporting the youth.
