We the undersigned residents of Mar Vista strongly support the Great Streets pilot project happening on Venice Boulevard.

This project is giving Venice Blvd. a much needed facelift and is greatly improving the area for neighborhood residents who enjoy walking and biking. It is so much nicer to sit down outside at a coffee shop or on the patio of a restaurant without six lanes of traffic zooming by. 

We feel it is much safer for our kids to cross Venice Blvd. with the added crosswalks. Now instead of hoping they will walk several blocks out of their way to use the crosswalk we can feel safe knowing that they can easily and safely cross at a light.

We also understand that this project is in it's infancy and there is more to be done and kinks to workout. That said we STRONGLY SUPPORT seeing this project through to completion and giving it a chance.
