The Venice Mexican American Monument Committee has partnered with the AmVets Post 2 Organization to move the project forward.

The purpose of the project is to preserve the Mexican American History in Venice, CA and create a Historic Monument that reflects the history of Mexican and Mexican American Railroad Workers known as Traqueros on the Westside that influenced and helped develop the Main Railroad Transportation System. The monument would be placed at the Venice Windward Circle.
