Allow Rescue Horses at Midwest Horse Fair

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,500!

The Midwest Horse Fair is the largest equine event in Wisconsin. It provides a venue for horse lovers to find out more about these magnificent animals.

Unfortunately, Midwest Horse Fair's website states: "Adoption based organizations will not be considered for participation in the Breed & Discipline Demonstrations..."

Rescue organizations are the only group that is singled out for exclusion.

The Wisconsin Horse Council, which owns Midwest Horse Fair, has a mission which includes, "To represent and to foster a unified equine industry of Wisconsin."

We believe the Midwest Horse Fair needs to change it's policy to include ALL  equine groups for the following reasons:

  • their own parent company believes in a unified approach to equines
  • rescues save lives
  • attendees will have the opportunity to become acquainted with rescues and what they do
  • rescues provide an option for people who prefer to adopt rather than purchase an equine
  • many rescues provide outreach education about all equines
  • a high percentage of rescued equines have the ability to learn and excel in many disciplines

Please sign our petition that calls for the Midwest Horse Fair to change its policy to allow ALL EQUINE groups to be considered for Breed and Discipline Demonstrations.
