UPDATE: Almost a year later, and Kalamazoo's ONLY Alternative station was back on the air!

However, the switch was short-lived - due to the storms that rolled through last night, the station rolled over to a backup system that was never updated after the change. For a brief time, Z96.5 WZOX was back on the air; and it made many of us very confused, but very happy.

Now, syndicated programming from Jack FM is back.

Maybe this glitch is a sign that we can make a change; that Kalamazoo deserves our unique blend of alternative, modern rock, and quirky new music that we miss very much.

Midwest Communications has 4 stations that play a mix of the same "adult contemporary hits" around Kalamazoo, MI - WHY? Mix it back up and bring new music back to our city!
