The Hope Centre is an amazing centre for homeless people in Northampton. It provides day care services, training, food and support and has transformed lives. More recently it has also provided services to tackle food poverty. It is based in a purpose built building built with funds provided by the last Labour government with a commitment that it would also be a home for the Hope Centre. The owners of the building, Midlands Heart, a housing association, is now evicting the Hope Centre. In this it has the support of Northampton Borough Council. It claims the move is in the interests of improving services for homeless people. This petition calls on Midland Heart to rescind the eviction notice and honour the commitment to provided a permanent home for the Hope Centre at Oasis House.
