As our fight against the dangerous and toxic proposal by Fair View Cemetery to build a crematorium advances, we must continue to grow awareness and engage community members. This fight will not be easily won and will come with costs, so we must do all we can to protect our health, economy and quality of life in Middletown.

With that being said, the Leadership of Stop Fair View Crematorium is happy to announce that there has been an injunction placed upon Fair View Cemetery’s proposal for the Oak Hill Road proposal. The Planning Board has removed the Crematorium from the agenda until a decision on the first proposal has been reached and appeals have been exhausted.

So, we don’t need people to attend the March 20th Planning Board Meeting.  Although this is not total victory, this is a big step in the right direction towards keeping Middletown safe and healthy.

We would like to Thank the Township Committee and the Planning Board for looking out for the best interest of the town and its residents. We must finish the fight we started. Please stay involved and engaged through our emails, social media and website, as updates will be posted regularly.  We will monitor the crematoriums applications and stay engaged with the town council and planning board so we can react as fast as possible if they apply again.
