✍️🚨 Keep Signing – We’ve Reached 39 Signatures!

Thank you to everyone who has supported this petition so far — we’ve reached 39 signatures already on Day 2, and this is just the beginning. Every single signature is a stand against hate, violence and institutional failure.

I want to be very clear:
A fellow student punching me to the top of my head and saying “I hope your plane home crashes and you die” is not a “cultural misunderstanding.”

This is not about taking sides, it’s about what is right and what is wrong; the fact that another Middlesex University Dubai student is tolerating her friend’s physical assaults on me.

This is about standing up to physical violence, hate speech, and it happened at our university.

The fact that Middlesex University failed to promptly and properly deal with this attack shows just how urgently change is needed. This is not an isolated example.

We call for the resignation of the Middlesex University Vice Chancellor, Shân Wareing.

If you are standing here tolerating hate speech, such as that Middlesex Dubai student bragging about using the “n” racial slur at uni (she is white) and repeated physical violence, I would suggest for you to think very strongly about what if this was your sister, brother, cousin or nephew?

Are you going to allow Middlesex University to tolerate these behaviours? Are you still justifying those behaviours?

This doesn’t just impact our university.
Regardless of your age,
Regardless of your religion,
Regardless of your job or university,
Regardless, we must stand together to ensure someone is not killed on Middlesex University’s campuses.

*I have been more than generous not disclosing the people’s identities, including her friend justifying her punching my head. Photo and name blurred out

I tried dealing with this informally but it didn’t work. Please don’t come blaming me for being punched in the head, this is no “cultural misunderstanding”

This is a fundamental failure in the university’s duty of care to keep students like me safe. Regardless of your beliefs, please consider signing the petition ✍️
