Fix Windows Store search by title and by keyword. None Searchable = No Results.
The Issue
The Windows Store does not show Apps when searching by keyword or App Name. Most of the apps under search results are either old non-updated (forgotten by developer apps) or have a very bad review. If a developer makes a new app chances are that no one can find the app in the store. Take for example the keyword (Sound Effects). When searching for this Keyword on the Windows 10 store you get 7 results. Are you serious Microsoft? 7 results are all that shows up? Really 7 results? That in its self is laughable. From the 100,000+ apps in the store 7 are sound effects? The reason there is only seven is not because there are literally 7 results but because MS hides the rest of the results. They hid one of my apps which was a BBC Sound Effects App. In contrast the Android Play Store has over 100+ results for Sound Effects keyword. Another example is a app named Kent Hovind. This app is on Creation Science seminars. Even though there are no apps in the store named Kent Hovind and there are no results when search for the keyword Kent Hovind. I still got no results. My app name was Kent Hovind and I used the keywords Kent Hovind. Still nothing shows up. In contrast for Android Kent Hovind showed up in the Play store the second day after I released it and has been showing up for each keyword I use. So for Windows with no competition Kent Hovind does not show up at all which equals to 0 downloads but on Android it shows up right away and comes up for each keyword.
There is an obvious problem with the Microsoft Windows 10 Store that MS needs to fix asap or developers will leave to other platforms. What’s the point making apps when no one can find them thus resulting in zero downloads. This is unacceptable and needs to be fixed right now.
