Thank you so much to everyone who has signed so far. I do appreciate it.
I understand that Windows Defender and other Microsoft software will continue to receive updates and that Windows 10 will continue to work. But my Mum and I have been advised not to do Internet Banking on a computer if Windows 10 is still the programme being used. People need to do Internet Banking in this day and age.
I have been told that we can buy security updates for 1 year. But the same problem will raise itself again in a year.
We could download Linux or something similar, but at 80 something, Mum feels this is not going to be suitable. She and many others of a similar generation will struggle to adapt to new software.
It comes back to "There are too many other things of a more pressing nature that need her attention than worrying about the computer."
So I still ask that Microsoft will continue to support Windows 10 for a few more years to come, at no extra cost.
