Recently we were legally compelled to have our dogs microchipped. We were told that this would mean Vets and Rescues would check for them, which would help us find our dogs if they were stolen or ran away. This is not happening, many vets do not routinely check to see if a new dog has one. We need to get the law changed so that Vets and Rescues must legally check all new dogs. If you have ever lost a dog, you will i am sure sign this, as it might be a step that will make people think twice before stealing or buying a stolen dog. The picture is beautiful Beagle Wombat. Everyone buying or rescuing a dog should  have them microchipped. Then we can change the law to get them checked everytime by our vets and rescues.
