Thank you all for signing on behalf of Adam Oakes and his life lost. Although our paths never crossed, my heart breaks for him and his family. I know the virtuous people of VCU and Richmond are shining bright and fighting for him, and I hope that Adam knows that. Our community's hearts are with his family, friends, and all who knew him. 

I wanted to share some resources. There will be a vigil for Adam tomorrow, March 3rd from 6 - 8pm and can be accessed via Zoom https://vcu.zoom.us/j/95414373814 (that link should work!) and throughout the day at Monroe Park fountain on VCU's campus. I plan on emailing the PDF of all signatures to Michael Rao (president@vcu.edu), as well as any police and HR contacts I can find that would be useful, by the end of the week. Everyone present at the event over the weekend MUST be held accountable. 

Adam, we will not forget and will fight for you.
